Class Reference: material and finish (EN 61537) Magnelis® alternative 3 Pre-galvanised grade 275 (EN 10327 and EN 10326) ZM120 – 10 µm/side 4 Pre-galvanised grade 350 (EN 10327 and EN 10326) ZM175 – 14 µm/side 5 Post-galvanised with a minimum average zinc coating thickness of 45 µm (ISO 1461) ZM250 – 20 µm/side 6 Post-galvanised with a minimum average zinc coating thickness of 55 µm (ISO 1461) ZM310 – 25 µm/side 7 Post-galvanised with a minimum average zinc coating thickness of 70 µm (ISO 1461) ZM430 – 35 µm/side 8 Post-galvanised with a minimum average zinc coating thickness of 85 µm (ISO 1461) on request Salt-spray test performance Magnelis® is not yet included in the EN 61537 standard on ‘Cable management - Cable tray systems and cable ladder systems’. However, ArcelorMittal has conducted salt spray tests of Magnelis® in accordance with the parameters of ISO 9227. The results showed that Magnelis® ZM120 (10 µm coating per side), up to ZM430 (35 µm per side) is an efficient solution to meet the requirements of the standard (from Class 3 to 8). Solutions for some Class 9 requirements can be found. For more details, please contact ArcelorMittal. Electric drives Mobility drives Building drives (doors, windows, shutters, rollers…) Engine casings and equipment • Improved durability in harsh outdoor environments, especially when located in marine areas. • Improved durability in aggressive indoor environments (for example, industrial buildings with hot and humid atmospheres, agricultural buildings with alkaline environments, greenhouses, tunnels, swimming pools…) • Reduction of maintenance costs thanks to - longer durability (for example, avoids maintenance at height for lighting) - Better resistance to surface damage and scratches thanks to the harder coating and self-healing effect. • Longer tooling lifetime and reduced maintenance in manufacturing thanks to the harder coating and its lower friction coefficient. • Compared with post-galvanisation: - Time- and cost-effective solution - Reduced part deformation - Better aesthetics Lighting Exterior poles Interior industrial lighting Industrial lighting and decorative applications Other metal accessories and holders Power distribution Low voltage: cabinets, switches, charging infrastructure, metal accessories.
